About the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at PCOM Georgia
Our program is designed to be completed in eight trimesters. Our students complete

As a student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, you will train at our Suwanee,
Georgia location in our modern, 12,000-square-foot Physical Therapy Education Center. The Center features state-of-the-art equipment as well as laboratories, classrooms,
study spaces and more.

The graduates of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at PCOM Georgia will:
Provide optimal patient/client-focused care in a variety of settings across the continuum
of care and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals for individuals with
movement disorders.
Incorporate research, clinical expertise and patient/client values while addressing
the needs of the "whole person" (physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual and
socio-economic).
Adhere to ethical and professional standards as described by the American Physical
Therapy Association (APTA) in its core documents, as well as laws and regulations
of the jurisdiction in which practice is located.
Advocate for the health care rights and needs of individuals and society while promoting
the profession of physical therapy.
Engage in service to the profession, community and individuals in order to promote
health, wellness and fitness.

Physical therapy is one of the fastest growing professions with the U.S. Bureau of
Labor Statistics projecting a national growth rate of 11 percent between 2024 and 2034.
Growth in Georgia (2022-2032) is predicted to be 19 percent according to labor market projections. Approximately 370 positions for qualified physical therapists will be open annually
in Georgia during this period.
