Responding to the rising need for pharmacists nationally, and particularly in the South, PCOM Georgia established a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) professional degree program in the metro Atlanta area at our Suwanee, Georgia location in 2010.
Supported by PCOM’s century-old tradition of training osteopathic physicians and other health practitioners, PCOM School of Pharmacy provides a rigorous, comprehensive curriculum delivered by accomplished educators, practitioners and pharmaceutical scientists.
PCOM’s PharmD program prepares students for diverse pharmacy careers through hands-on clinical experience, specialized learning pathways and interprofessional training.
Prepares students for real-world pharmacy practice through clinical training, experiential learning, community engagement and applied research
Provides the scientific foundation of pharmacy education through pharmacology, drug development and research-driven instruction
Participate in research with faculty, exploring clinical and scientific questions that shape pharmacy practice and patient care
PCOM School of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), 190 S. LaSalle Street, Suite 3000, Chicago,
IL 60603-3446, 312-664-3575, fax 866-228-2631, www.acpe-accredit.org. ACPE accredits Doctor of Pharmacy programs offered by colleges and schools of pharmacy
in the United States and selected non-U.S. sites. The accreditation term granted for
the Doctor of Pharmacy program extends until June 30, 2028.
