The mission of the Department of Bio-Medical Sciences at PCOM South Georgia is to prepare our students for successful careers in osteopathic medicine and biomedical sciences.
Our expert faculty emphasize critical reasoning in the basic sciences and provide students with opportunities to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in rigorous academic and professional settings.
We also contribute to the PCOM South Georgia research mission by providing students with research opportunities in areas including education, community impact and healthcare delivery.
Students receive training designed to increase professional and academic opportunities and facilitate their successful entry into their chosen career paths. The Biomedical Sciences program allows students the flexibility to concentrate in one of several professional areas and also offers a certificate of post-baccalaureate graduate study.
