Marketing and Communications
The mission of the Office of Marketing and Communications is to provide integrated
marketing, publications, public relations, web and social media initiatives that position,
support and advance the College’s mission-centered instructional, research and service
outcomes, strategic plan and brand imaging.
Departmental work focuses on consistent messaging and branding identity, advertising,
print and online publications, public relations, web and social media, as well as
crisis communications.
The department has received numerous awards for its work from professional organizations
including the Public Relations Society of America, Philadelphia Public Relations Association, Higher Education Marketing and The Association of Communicators in Education (CUPRAP).
WHAT WE DO
Advertising and Marketing
The Office of Marketing and Communications produces and collaborates with key partners
to develop strategic marketing plans and in-market advertising messages for various
media including billboards, print, digital and more. We also develop and track paid advertisements that appear on search engine results
pages.
Brand Stewardship and Evolution
The Office of Marketing and Communications develops and manages editorial guidelines,
brand guidelines, graphic style guidelines (logo usage), media guidelines and social

Graphic Design
We support various departments within the College by producing branded graphics. Examples of our work include publications, brochures, advertisements, campus signage and much more.
Media Relations and Crisis Communications
Our media relations team handles all press relations, crisis communications and arranges coverage of
news and events at PCOM's three locations.
Podcast
We produce PCOM Perspectives, the College president's monthly podcast which discusses news and research with community
members from PCOM, PCOM Georgia and PCOM South Georgia.
Publications
We produce several publications including:
- Digest, PCOM's magazine for alumni, community members and friends, reports on professional
trends in health care and osteopathic medicine.
- The President's Report is an annual review of the College's strategic initiatives, community engagements,
research projects and more.
Social Media
The social media team is responsible for sharing the PCOM community’s story through
our social media presence. This includes the management of all flagship social media
channels representing our three locations and sharing updates and insight into campus
life, student experiences, college events and more.

Video Production
In-house video production supports PCOM's advertising efforts, social media accounts
and the Office of the President. Our latest videos can be viewed on PCOM's YouTube channel.
Website
The web team is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of pcom.edu in a manner
that positively promotes the College's identity and brand, supporting both its mission
and strategic initiatives. These efforts include content development, search engine
optimization, advertising support, reporting, analysis and more.
