Marketing and Communications

The mission of the Office of Marketing and Communications is to provide integrated marketing, publications, public relations, web and social media initiatives that position, support and advance the College’s mission-centered instructional, research and service outcomes, strategic plan and brand imaging.

Departmental work focuses on consistent messaging and branding identity, advertising, print and online publications, public relations, web and social media, as well as crisis communications.

The department has received numerous awards for its work from professional organizations including the Public Relations Society of America, Philadelphia Public Relations Association, Higher Education Marketing and The Association of Communicators in Education (CUPRAP).

WHAT WE DO

The Office of Marketing and Communications produces and collaborates with key partners to develop strategic marketing plans and in-market advertising messages for various media including billboards, print, digital and more. We also develop and track paid advertisements that appear on search engine results pages.

The Office of Marketing and Communications develops and manages editorial guidelines, brand guidelines, graphic style guidelines (logo usage), media guidelines and social media policy. View our style guidelines.

We support various departments within the College by producing branded graphics. Examples of our work include publications, brochures, advertisements, campus signage and much more.

Our media relations team handles all press relations, crisis communications and arranges coverage of news and events at PCOM's three locations.

We produce PCOM Perspectives, the College president's monthly podcast which discusses news and research with community members from PCOM, PCOM Georgia and PCOM South Georgia.

We produce several publications including:

  • Digest, PCOM's magazine for alumni, community members and friends, reports on professional trends in health care and osteopathic medicine.
  • The President's Report is an annual review of the College's strategic initiatives, community engagements, research projects and more.

The social media team is responsible for sharing the PCOM community’s story through our social media presence. This includes the management of all flagship social media channels representing our three locations and sharing updates and insight into campus life, student experiences, college events and more.

Explore our most recent social media posts and campaigns on our social wall or visit our social media directory.

In-house video production supports PCOM's advertising efforts, social media accounts and the Office of the President. Our latest videos can be viewed on PCOM's YouTube channel.

The web team is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of pcom.edu in a manner that positively promotes the College's identity and brand, supporting both its mission and strategic initiatives. These efforts include content development, search engine optimization, advertising support, reporting, analysis and more.
