Frequently Asked Questions

PCOM orientation programs on both campuses are designed to acclimate new students to the PCOM community. Orientation programs are unique and tailored to each academic program.

New students are required to attend all orientation events.

Orientation program dates will be posted on myPCOM.

MyPCOM is the PCOM intranet site that is accessible by login for students, faculty and staff. MyPCOM offers access to important resources related to academics, financial aid and other student services.

The Office of Financial Aid provides detailed information and resources on types of aid (including student loans, scholarships, work study and more), how to apply and financial literacy.

Yes. All students enrolled at PCOM must be covered by a health insurance plan.

PCOM offers a student health insurance plan for students through UnitedHealthcare. This plan renews annually and students are required to either waive the student health insurance plan or be automatically enrolled and the cost added to their tuition bill.

Visit UnitedHealthcare's Student Resources webpage and enter PCOM in the search field to review your PCOM campus location's plan.

  • Choose Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for the Philadelphia location.
  • Choose Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia for the Suwanee or Moultrie locations.

Questions about student health insurance can be directed to benefits@pcom.edu.

The Medical Health Questionnaire is a health physical form that is required to be completed before classes begin by all students. The Medical Health Questionnaire form can be found on myPCOM on the "Getting Started" page.

If you have any questions about the form, please contact the Student Wellness Office at 215-871-6420 (PCOM) or 678-225-7484 (PCOM Georgia and PCOM South Georgia).

Completed Medical Health Questionnaires should be returned to:

If you indicated as part of the application process that you need special accommodations, you will be receiving a copy of the PCOM Guide to Applying for Disability Services.

The coordinator of disability services will work with you to ensure that your documentation is complete, and will guide you through the process of applying for accommodations. If you have questions, feel free to email the coordinator at disabilityservices@pcom.edu.

All PCOM, PCOM Georgia and PCOM South Georgia students receive an email account and access to myPCOM, PCOM's web portal. You will receive your email and myPCOM access information when you receive your New Student Booklet.
