How does orientation work and what are the dates?

PCOM orientation programs on both campuses are designed to acclimate new students to the PCOM community. Orientation programs are unique and tailored to each academic program.

New students are required to attend all orientation events.

Orientation program dates will be posted on myPCOM.

What is myPCOM?

MyPCOM is the PCOM intranet site that is accessible by login for students, faculty and staff. MyPCOM offers access to important resources related to academics, financial aid and other student services.

Where can I find information on registering for classes?

Visit the PCOM Registrar Office's FAQ page. Here you can find the start date of classes as well as other information regarding the registration process.

Where can I find information on financial aid and paying for school?

The PCOM Office of Financial Aid provides detailed information on types of aid, how to apply and financial literacy.

Does PCOM require students to have health insurance?

Yes. All students enrolled at PCOM must be covered by a health insurance plan.

PCOM does not offer health insurance plans for students, but information about finding a health insurance plan can be found on myPCOM.

What is the Medical History Questionnaire?

The Medical History Questionnaire is a health physical form that is required to be completed before classes begin by students in the DO, PA, Biomedical Sciences and Forensic Medicine programs.

The Medical History Questionnaire form can be found on each academic program's new student link on myPCOM.

How do I apply for learning or physical disability accommodations?

If you indicated as part of the application process that you need special accommodations, you will be receiving a copy of the PCOM Guide to Applying for Disability Services.

The coordinator of disability services will work with you to ensure that your documentation is complete, and will guide you through the process of applying for accommodations. If you have questions, feel free to email the coordinator at disabilityservices@pcom.edu.

What kind of technology services does PCOM provide?

All PCOM students receive an email account and access to myPCOM, PCOM's web portal. You will receive your email and myPCOM access information when you receive your New Student Booklet.
