The Simulation Center at PCOM Georgia supports clinical education through realistic, hands-on experiences. It includes
standardized patient exam rooms equipped with osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) tables, dual-camera recording systems, and observation capabilities for faculty.
These rooms facilitate simulated patient encounters, allowing learners to practice
clinical interviews, physical examinations, and patient communication skills in a
controlled environment.
In addition to standardized patient rooms, the center houses high-fidelity simulation rooms featuring adult, pediatric,
obstetrical, and neonatal mannequins capable of simulating various physiological responses.
The facility also includes a fully equipped simulated operating room with laparoscopic
and trauma training systems, a clinical skills lab with task trainers for procedures
such as intubation and IV insertion, and dedicated debriefing and control rooms for
performance review and feedback. These resources enable students to engage in a wide
range of clinical scenarios, preparing them for real-world patient care.
