Learn the latest evidence-based practices in emergency medicine as well as resuscitative techniques (CPR, ACLS, airway management and IV/IO placement) through hands-on, case-based learning, clinical seminars and skills training sessions.
Continuing education certification may include: CAPCE, State, Local and Course Certifications. Other courses offered include BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATCN, ATLS, ITLS, EMR, HazMat and many others.
Continuing education offerings for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants will cover a broad range of patient and practice management issues. License renewal requirements differ from state-to-state. Check with the licensing Board for your state to determine if a course meets their requirements.
PCOM’s School of Professional and Applied Psychology courses are approved by the American Psychological Association.
The PsyD and EdS school psychology programs in the School of Professional and Applied Psychology are NASP approved and as such, may offer NASP approved continuing education hours.
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Professional and Applied Psychology has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.5672. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Professional and Applied Psychology is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
PCOM’s School of Professional and Applied Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Pennsylvania Board of Social Work Examiners recognizes and accepts the psychology continuing education hours/credits for social workers. The board requires a minimum duration of two hours per program. After successfully meeting the criteria for earning CE’s, social workers will receive the Certificate of Attendance.

PCOM offers continuing education programs for professionals working in nursing home administration (NHA) and related careers. We cover changing regulations, new management skills, improved communication procedures, personal growth needs, changing resident needs and environmental settings.
Our NHA continuing education unit (CEU) certifications include National Association of Long Term Care Administration Boards (NAB) and Certified Assisted Living Association (CALA).
PCOM provides 17 programs designed to address all aspects of care for geriatric residents, from an introduction to aging to the application of federal regulations in nursing homes. All programs are approved for credit by the NAB.
