Continuing Education at PCOM

AOA Category 1-A, 1-B and 2-A credits will be granted to osteopathic physicians and physician assistants. The category of credit depends on the educational format of the program. Each course will provide further information regarding the AOA category of credit.

Continuing education offerings for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants will cover a broad range of patient and practice management issues. License renewal requirements differ from state-to-state. Check with the licensing board for your state to determine if a course meets their requirements.

PCOM’s School of Professional and Applied Psychology courses are approved by the American Psychological Association.

The PsyD and EdS school psychology programs in the School of Professional and Applied Psychology are NASP-approved and as such, may offer NASP-approved continuing education hours.

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Professional and Applied Psychology has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.5672. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Professional and Applied Psychology is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

PCOM’s School of Professional and Applied Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Pennsylvania Board of Social Work Examiners recognizes and accepts the psychology continuing education hours/credits for social workers. The board requires a minimum duration of two hours per program. After successfully meeting the criteria for earning CEs, social workers will receive the Certificate of Attendance.
