Research Facilities
Basic and translational research are carried out in PCOM’s laboratories and core facilities
that are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for ultrastructural analysis, fixed
and live cell imaging, intravital microscopy, molecular, biochemical, morphometric
and behavioral analysis, cell culture and electrophysiology.
Clinical, Behavioral and Community-Based Research
Clinical, behavioral and community-based research are integrated into our healthcare
centers, medical offices, affiliates and the community.
The Dr. Michael and Wendy Saltzburg Clinical Learning and Assessment Center on the Philadelphia campus and the Simulation Center at PCOM Georgia—featuring patient and training rooms, surgical and emergency treatment
suites, and robotic and virtual simulators—are utilized for student and faculty training.
