Research Facilities

Basic and translational research are carried out in PCOM's laboratories and core facilities containing state-of-the-art equipment for molecular, biochemical, morphometric and behavioral analyses, cell and tissue intravital microscopy, live cell imaging, cell culture, electrophysiology, and assessments of ocular structure and function.

Clinical, Behavioral and Community-Based Research

Clinical, behavioral and community-based research are integrated into our healthcare centers, medical offices, affiliates and the community.

The Dr. Michael and Wendy Saltzburg Clinical Learning and Assessment Center on the Philadelphia campus, the Simulation Center at PCOM Georgia and the Simulation Center at PCOM South Georgia—featuring patient and training rooms, surgical and emergency treatment suites, and robotic and virtual simulators—are utilized for student and faculty training.
