PCOM Celebrates Success, Reimagined, with New Student Center
March 10, 2026
“Any time we're all together as a family, you can't beat it,” said Jay S. Feldstein, DO '81, president and CEO of PCOM, as he welcomed the College community to celebrate the reopening of the Student Success Center in Philadelphia.
After months of comprehensive renovations, PCOM faculty and staff hosted a kickoff
event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the 55,000-square-foot student-informed
design that prioritizes flexibility and accessibility with vibrant colors and artwork
throughout.
“As we discussed the renovations to this building, we knew that we wanted to focus
on the whole student,” Feldstein said. “We wanted to provide each and every PCOM student
with opportunities to achieve academic, professional and emotional health.”
Feldstein emphasized that the project was funded by generous contributions of alumni
and friends through the United & Ignited fundraising campaign, led by Carrie Collins, JD, PhD, Chief Advancement and Strategic Planning Officer, who also spearheaded the building's
redesign.
“It is because of the unwavering support of our donors that we are able to create
more spaces that enrich our students' lives,” Collins said. “The Student Success Center embodies
our commitment to supporting the whole person, ensuring that our students have the
resources and community they need to thrive.”
The Student Success Center brings together a diverse range of resources under one
roof:
Academic support services and testing accommodations
Inclusive study environments
Personal, career and academic advising
And existing physical fitness and social activities, such as the basketball court,
fitness center and lounge spaces
“From creating more study spaces to offering us more places to meet and relax, the
Student Success Center is going to have a tremendously positive impact on students,”
said Paige Schlechter (DO '28), president of the Student Government Association, emphasizing
that the best part about the renovations are the extended hours of operation. “I know
students are so looking forward to being able to use the Student Success Center every
single day.”
The updated center will offer extended hours, remaining open later into the evenings
and on weekends.
