MS in Mental Health Counseling Program

Nya Murray (MS/MHC) has always felt compelled to become a mental health counselor. After serving in the United States Navy and becoming a mother, Nya is now pursuing Master's in Mental Health Counseling to help reduce mental health disparities in the African American community.

PCOM's Mental Health Counseling Program

The Mental Health Counseling program at PCOM promotes a collaborative working environment while incorporating a foundation for ethical practice and advocacy. The program is rooted in the cognitive-behavioral tradition and prepares students with the skills and knowledge to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or to seek opportunities across a variety of specialty areas.
