Why did you choose a career in pharmacy education?

After witnessing suffering from disease and health disparities, I chose, through dedication in prayer as a Christian, to be a part of a solution which included trusting God’s plan. Serving in the clinician/educator role allows for the utilization of force multiplication through education of student pharmacists to eliminate health disparities in order to create health equity.

What is your research interest?

My research focuses on parametric evaluation and modeling to identify ways to reduce cardiovascular disease as well as identify health disparities and create health equity.

What advice do you have for a person considering a career in pharmacy?

Pray about your decision, then trust your faith. The profession of pharmacy is "service based." Students should determine if they are committed to serving others by putting the patient’s needs first.
