Applied Behavior Analysis
Online ABA Certificate Program

PCOM’s Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Certificate online program is designed to meet the needs of working professionals by providing flexible, convenient access to coursework through an online program.

The 21-credit online ABA certificate program meets the guidelines established by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) and fulfills the coursework requirement to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) exam. In order to obtain the BCBA credential, students must also complete a supervised field experience, have a qualifying degree, and pass an exam.

Employment demand for behavioral analysts is increasing nationwide. Join this growing field with a certificate from PCOM.

PCOM has two options for admission into the online ABA certificate program:
  • The Certificate of Graduate Studies program requires a bachelor’s degree for admission.
  • The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies program requires a master’s degree for admission. This certificate is also available as part of the curriculum offered in the Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis program. Students may complete the Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate without matriculating into the MS in Applied Behavior Analysis program.

Both options offer the same coursework.

Upon completion of the certification program, students will have solid skills in the areas of comprehensive behavioral assessment, intervention and consultation.

Who should apply to PCOM’s online ABA certificate program?

This program is designed for individuals interested in learning about behavioral assessment and intervention as it relates to positive change within the learning environment, as well as home and other applied settings. Individuals who can benefit from this program include behavioral specialists, teachers, therapists, educational consultants, school psychologists, social workers, clinical psychologists and medical professionals.

Our ABAI-approved coursework has a focus on supporting the needs of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as autism and their families in a variety of settings. Our faculty have extensive experience working with children with developmental disabilities and families in schools, homes, and residential settings.

Are PCOM online ABA certificate program credits transferable?

Courses provide transferable graduate credit and may be transferred into other degree programs if approved. Most credits that are earned in the certificate program can transfer into the MS in Applied Behavior Analysis program provided that the student meets the requirements of admission to matriculate into the MS program.

  • Classes are taught by expert faculty who are board-certified behavior analysts and psychologists.
  • Students learn within a dynamic medical school environment with an interprofessional focus on the curriculum and delivery of content.
