PCOM Georgia bid farewell to its 20th anniversary year with a culminating "Legacy in Bloom," event that featured inspiring remarks by Jay S. Feldstein, DO '81, president and CEO of PCOM, and a DIY flower "bloom bar," to celebrate the growth and progress of the College.

“Twenty years ago, this journey began in a very simple way … in an empty warehouse in Suwanee,” Dr. Feldstein said. “Today, PCOM Georgia is home to future osteopathic physicians, pharmacists, physical therapists, physician assistants, biomedical scientists, and medical laboratory scientists. More than 3,500 graduates have gone on to serve patients across Georgia and throughout the Southeast.”

Throughout the anniversary year, PCOM Georgia hosted several memorable events, including its inaugural Blaze 5K run, where over 150 students and faculty laced up their sneakers to promote health and community spirit. Other highlights included a multicultural food event titled "Around the World", "A Walk Through 20 Years" to commemorate National Walking Day, and the unveiling of a new art mural by Atlanta-based graffiti artist Mr. Totem.

The "Legacy in Bloom" event brought the yearlong celebrations to a close, and attendees enjoyed creating their own bouquets from a vibrant display of colorful flowers, and several shared reflections on what they hope the next 20 years will bring for PCOM Georgia.

"The collaboration, creative ideas, and expertise from everyone involved in planning and executing our anniversary events have been truly inspiring. A special note of gratitude to Kim Lucier, director of Campus Operations, whose leadership has been invaluable,” said John Khan, chief of Campus Operations, who steered the planning committee for the 20th anniversary.
