Student Elective Rotation

Learn about PCOM's student elective rotation in ophthalmology and how to apply.

The ophthalmology residency program offers student elective rotations and audition rotations at various affiliated sites across Philadelphia. These sites include Lankenau Medical Center, Springfield Hospital, Wills Eye Hospital, as well as various private offices.

These rotations will provide students both exposure and experience in various disciplines of ophthalmology spanning inpatient, outpatient, acute care and operative settings.

The audition rotation season is considered to be from June through December. While just as academically and clinically valuable, rotations outside these months will not be considered audition rotations. Rotations may be scheduled as two-week blocks only.
