White Coat Ceremony Information
For Participating PCOM-Invited VIP Guests, Faculty and Staff
This page provides important details for all faculty, staff, and PCOM-invited VIPs
attending or participating in a white coat ceremony. Please review carefully to ensure
a smooth experience.
- VIPs are considered guests of the institution and include designated dignitaries,
ceremony speakers, members of the Board of Trustees, PCOM Cabinet members and preceptors.
- Participating faculty include faculty from any PCOM program who have volunteered or
been designated to coat students during the ceremony.
Faculty needing a white coat should visit the Order Your White Coat page.
VIPs
- Arrive 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony start time.
- Bring your white coat with you to wear during the ceremony.
- Check in to your designated room and enjoy a light reception.
- Water bottles will be provided on stage.
- Stage seating assignments and instructions will be provided before the ceremony begins.
Participating Faculty
- Arrive 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony start time.
- Bring your white coat with you to wear during the ceremony.

Attending Faculty
- Arrive 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony start time.
- Faculty who have RSVP’d through their department but are not on stage may enjoy a
light reception before entering the ceremony and taking their seats in the reserved
section.
- Dress code is business professional. Wearing your white coat is encouraged, but not
required.
