Where did you match?

Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana

What specialty have you chosen to pursue and why?

Pathology (AP/CP); my dad was a pathologist (now retired) so I knew how the field was and what I was getting into. I never found anything else I liked during third year.

How did you feel when you found out you matched?

Almost disbelief - but extremely happy as Tulane was my first choice, and my partner and our dogs are in New Orleans. 

What advice would you give to year one medical students just starting their journey?

Never give up! Give everything more than 100%. Be enthusiastic on every rotation.
