Where did you match?Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Caroline.
Pathology. I plan to complete a fellowship in forensic pathology.
I'm relieved and ecstatic. I've matched into an amazing program and I'm heading to a city my family is excited to live in.
Don't stress about boards or about what specialty you might want to go into starting on day one. Get through your classes and join clubs to explore what you might be interested in. You'll gear up for boards in second year and you'll learn more about what you like on rotations in third year.
Don't doubt yourself. Have some faith in your abilities. Surround yourself with supportive people and make time for mental breaks and some fun. You need that time to recharge. Also, stay in touch with someone a year ahead of you who is going into a specialty you think you may be interested in. You'll have some insight on the general processes and can ask more specific questions.
