Family Medicine
Residency Program

Director: Ashley Miller, DO
Positions: 15
Location: Suburban Community Hospital – Norristown, PA

The PCOM/Suburban Community Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program is a dynamic post-graduate educational experience. The curriculum successfully balances didactic education and challenging rotations. Weekly didactic activities include Family Medicine Journal Club as well as Friday morning report and our core lecture series.

PCOM's family medicine residency is one of the first osteopathic family medicine residencies in the country, founded by Dr. Arnold Sokol in the mid-1970s. Over the years our residency has successfully established and continues to nurture a positive learning environment that stimulates personal growth and allows for both academic and professional development.

We are dedicated to the training and development of qualified physicians to practice the specialty of family medicine as competent, caring and knowledgeable primary care physicians in ambulatory, hospital and nursing home settings. With a strong pediatric emphasis and a diverse patient population, we are able to prepare residents for a broad scope of practice after residency.

Suburban Community Hospital accepts applications through ERAS.

All applicants must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service for Applicants (ERAS).

Notice to Applicants

All applicants for PCOM residency and fellowship programs must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
