Orientation welcomes new students and supports their transition into medical school. The White Coat Ceremony is a special event that marks the beginning of medical students' transition into the profession. During the ceremony, students receive their white coats and are welcomed into the medical community. It's a time to celebrate this milestone; reflect on the values of compassion, professionalism and service; and recognize the responsibility that comes with caring for patients as future physicians.
Match Day celebration is an event where graduating medical students learn where they have been placed for residency training through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Students receive their results simultaneously during a formal gathering with classmates, faculty, family and friends.
