Orientation
Orientation welcomes new students and supports their transition into medical school.
The program introduces the curriculum, academic expectations, clinical standards,
campus resources and key policies while fostering connections with faculty, staff
and peers. It also highlights essential student services, wellness resources, professionalism
and community standards to prepare students for success from day one.
White Coat Ceremony
The White Coat Ceremony is a special event that marks the beginning of medical students' transition into
the profession. During the ceremony, students receive their white coats and are welcomed
into the medical community. It's a time to celebrate this milestone; reflect on the
values of compassion, professionalism and service; and recognize the responsibility
that comes with caring for patients as future physicians.
Match Day
Match Day celebration is an event where graduating medical students learn where they
have been placed for residency training through the National Resident Matching Program
(NRMP). Students receive their results simultaneously during a formal gathering with
classmates, faculty, family and friends. The occasion marks a major milestone as students
transition from medical school to residency. Learn more by viewing postgraduate placement data and hearing from our students.
Commencement
Commencement includes formal ceremonies that celebrate students who have successfully
completed degree requirements across the College's academic programs at each campus.
The events bring together graduates, faculty, family and friends to recognize academic
achievement and mark the transition from student to alumnus. Services typically include
formal processions, speaker remarks, degree recognition and community celebration.
