The PCOM Georgia Doctor of Physical Therapy Program White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2027 will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hughes Ballroom at the Gas South Convention Center.
PCOM Georgia Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students will celebrate with friends, family, faculty and directors as they are presented their physical therapy student white coats, recite their pledge of professionalism and hear from program chairs and guest speakers. The white coat ceremony marks a significant milestone in welcoming students into the PT profession.
The white coat itself signifies the transition of a student PT to becoming part of a clinical healthcare team. The coat reminds medical students of their duty to practice health care with humanism and professionalism. It symbolizes competency, integrity, compassion and responsibility in improving patient outcomes.

Attendees must receive a ticket from a PCOM Georgia student in order to enter the ceremony. Visit the Student Affairs event site for details about the ceremony for students, family, faculty/staff and VIPs.
