Commencement Information
For Participating Guests, Faculty and Staff
This page provides important details for all faculty, staff, and PCOM-invited VIPs
attending or participating in Commencement. Please review carefully to ensure a smooth
experience.
- VIPs are considered guests of the institution and include designated dignitaries,
ceremony speakers, members of the Board of Trustees, PCOM Cabinet members and preceptors.
- Participating faculty include faculty from any PCOM program who have volunteered or
been designated to hood students during the ceremony.
Regalia will be available on site for Board of Trustees and Cabinet members who do
not own regalia.
On Stage (Speaker, Hooder, Faculty)
- A mock seating run-through will be held in a separate room before the ceremony.
- Water bottles will be provided on stage.
- Arrive 45 minutes early and wear your regalia.
- Full Regalia is required, including robe, tam, and hood. Faculty are responsible for
bringing their own regalia.
- Check in to receive instructions and enjoy a light reception.
Off Stage (Processing Faculty)
- Arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the ceremony.
- Wear your regalia. Faculty are responsible for bringing their own regalia.
- Check in to receive instructions and enjoy a light reception.
- Faculty will process in behind the stage guests but will be seated in the faculty
section.
- Faculty will process out after the platform party.
Order Regalia
Attending PCOM Staff (Non-Faculty)
- Any non-faculty staff members must RSVP through their department and/or notify Student
Affairs Events of their attendance so that appropriate seating can be reserved.
