Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) President and CEO Jay S. Feldstein, DO '81, has been elected one of 61 new Fellows of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia.

The Spring 2026 Fellowship class—the largest in the College’s history—includes distinguished physicians, scholars and public health leaders spanning over 15 institutions and more than 30 specialties.

“I’m truly honored to be welcomed into this Fellowship and to join an organization with such deep roots in Philadelphia,” Feldstein said. “The College’s commitment to advancing medical knowledge and supporting community health is exactly what we practice at PCOM, and I look forward to continuing efforts to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.”

Founded in 1787, The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, home of the Mütter Museum, Historical Medical Library, and the History of Vaccines, is a storied institution dedicated to “advancing the cause of health while upholding the ideals and heritage of medicine.” Biannually in the fall and spring, the organization hosts College Night, where it announces the induction of new members to its prestigious Fellowship program.

Spring inductees joined the ranks of notable past fellows such as U.S. Founding Father Benjamin Rush, Surgeon General C. Everett Koop, and Thomas Dent Mütter, whose medical collection formed the basis of the museum that bears his name.

Feldstein was sponsored for the fellowship by Michael Becker, DO ’87, PCOM's associate dean of clinical education, and Peter Bidey, DO '08, MSEd, FACOFP, dean and chief academic officer of PCOM’s Osteopathic Medicine program.
