On May 3, 2022, students in the Class of 2025 Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program honored the eighty-six individuals that donated their bodies to medical and educational research at PCOM. White roses representing each donor were placed in vases outside the anatomy lab as a reminder to all students, faculty and staff of the sacrifice the donors have made to advance scientific research and aid in educating future healthcare professionals. During the Celebration of Remembrance, many students offered words of thanks to the donors and thoughtful reflections on the enormous impact body donation plays in medical school training.
