DO Student Matches in Urology With a Mission To Elevate Women's Care Elizabeth DeSellier (DO '26) - Match Day 2026
March 9, 2026
For any aspiring physician, Match Day is one of the most important moments along their academic journeys—marking the culmination
of years of dedication, clinical training and perseverance. It signifies the moment
when students discover where they will complete their residency training and advance
their medical careers.
PCOM Georgia Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) student Elizabeth DeSellier (DO '26) matched in Urology at the Medical College of
Georgia (MCG)—one of her top choices.
“When I matched, I felt incredibly relieved and grateful. As a DO applying into a
competitive field, there's always some uncertainty, so matching to my desired specialty
felt validating and rewarding for all the hard work I've put in so far,” DeSellier
said.
DeSellier is also considering a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive
surgery as she wants to specialize in women's care.
To get to this point, she credits the faculty at PCOM Georgia with preparing her to move into her residency. “With early clinical exposure and
an emphasis on critical thinking skills, I developed the confidence in patient care,
efficient clinical reasoning, and a collaborative mindset that allows me to contribute
meaningfully to a team.”
Building on that foundation of confidence, DeSellier emphasized the importance of
believing in oneself.
“You're more capable than you think. Don't be afraid to pursue what you truly want,
even if it feels intimidating or seems out of reach. Work hard, seek mentorship early,
and maintain a positive outlook.”
