LISSA P. MURPHY, MD, MS

Dr. Lissa Murphy is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with extensive experience in clinical practice, healthcare leadership and medical education. She currently serves as Chair of Clinical Sciences, Director of Healthcare Services and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at PCOM South Georgia, where she provides academic leadership for the clinical sciences curriculum, supports faculty development and oversees students' clinical training. She has also served as a physician at the Archbold Emergency Department for 20 years and subsequently at Archbold Urgent Care, providing care in a high-volume clinical setting.

Throughout her career, Dr. Murphy has held several prominent clinical and administrative leadership positions at Archbold Memorial Hospital, including Chief of Staff, hospital board member, and Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and remains committed to clinical excellence, physician development and improving healthcare delivery.
