JOEL S. GARBLIK, DDS, MS 
Clinical Assistant Professor

Joel Garblik, DDS, MS, is a retired dentist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Pathology. He has more than 45 years of healthcare, business, computer technology, teaching and forensic experience. His pedigree includes education at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, Temple University Dental School (DDS) and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (MS in Forensic Medicine).

Currently, he lectures to the forensic medicine students and focuses on oral pathology, dental pathology and conducts a workshop in forensic odontology. This workshop gives students a clinical opportunity to take impressions and make models of the mouth and to understand how the teeth provide valuable forensic information regarding missing and unknown individuals. Dr. Garblik also heads the Capstone Integrative Experience, a required field internship and culminating research paper where students will apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired through their academic course work in a real life setting in an area of personal interest within the scope of forensic medicine.

Prior to joining PCOM, Dr. Garblik was a vice president of dental sales with WebMD and was responsible for national dental accounts that utilized electronic insurance billing and patient records software that he co-created.
