Funding Support

Faculty, staff and students may apply for funding to support community outreach projects by completing a funding request form. The form, budget sheet and additional information are available under the "Funding Support - Community Outreach Projects" sections on the student resources and the employee resources pages on myPCOM.

Philadelphia, PA The Free Library of Philadelphia West Spring Festival at Malcolm X. Park - PCOM will share educational materials on sugar consumption and distribute children's books promoting healthy eating habits. The festival takes place on Thursday, April 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Malcolm X Park, 52nd and Pine St Philadelphia PA 19139. 04/28/2022
Suwanee, GA Atlanta International Night Market + Glow in the Park - PCOM Georgia students from the DO Council will take blood pressure readings and distribute blood pressure information on Saturday, April 23, from 2-10 p.m. The event is located at Town Center Park, Buford Hwy & Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024. The Simbulance, also known as the Mobile Medical Education Lab, will be available for tours. 04/23/2022
Philadelphia, PA Black Health Matters Conference - Dr. Ashley Poole will be presenting the impact of social media on mental health, PCOM medical students will present on their journey to medical school and PCOM Hearts students will also be conducting free blood pressure checks. The event takes place on Saturday, April 23, from 12-4 p.m. at FarmerJawn Community Greenhouses located at 1818 Beech Ave, Elkins Park, PA 19047. 04/23/2022
Philadelphia, PA Southwest Philadelphia Community Health Fair - PCOM SMNA and Medicine for Education student groups have partnered with The 48th and Woodland Playground Rec Center to host a free health fair on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 12-3 p.m. Southwest Philadelphia residents are invited to come celebrate community health and wellness. Activities and services will include blood pressure screenings, glucose screenings, winter clothing distribution, medication information and fresh produce distribution provided by West Philly Bunny Hop. 02/19/2022
Suwanee, GA Free CPR Training - PCOM Georgia students will provide free CPR training to Gwinnett County residents on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 12-4 p.m. at the Mall of Georgia (second level, across from Dick's Sporting Goods). Suwanee, GA As part of PCOM's covid vaccine education projects overseen by Dr. Valerie Cadet and Dr. Edoabasi McGee, students will distribute covid educations brochures as well as be on hand to answer any questions from participants at the Gwinnett Health Fair. 07/31/2021
Philadelphia, PA In partnership with Methodist Services the CWI will sponsor a back-to-school event at Methodist Services. PCOM will provide masks, hand sanitizers, and backpacks as health screenings and services. 08/20/2021
Philadelphia, PA The CWI will sponsor a back-to-school event at Ward Emmanuel AME church in West Philadelphia. PCOM will provide masks, hand sanitizers, and tote bags as well as information about COVID-19 vaccines. 08/21/2021

Philadelphia, PA Thanksgiving Food Drive - Join us in supporting 20 families from Methodist Services by supplying them with Thanksgiving baskets to make their holiday brighter. Items can be dropped off to the President's CWI on the second floor of the Levin Administration Building (Attn: Flo Byarms). Food items may include canned and jarred sauces, gravy and vegetables; boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing and mac n cheese; and boxed brownie, cake or cornbread mixes. Items must be collected no later than 12 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. 11/23/2021
Suwanee, GA Students and faculty from PCOM Georgia will attend the Jolly Holly Day Fair at the Suwanee Town Center. Our booths will feature free blood pressure screenings as well as demonstrations of simulation equipment and patient care simulator mannequins. 12/03/2021
