Office of the Provost
The Office of the Provost oversees academic programs at all PCOM locations. The provost works with executive leadership to formulate and administer academic priorities and policies.
Responsibilities of the Provost
Responsibilities include:
- Working to implement goals and initiatives outlined in the College’s Strategic Plan.
- Reporting on institutional effectiveness and overseeing collection/reporting of educational outcomes data.
- Directing and coordinating activities of all graduate programs.
- Coordinating accreditation and organizational planning.
- Developing new academic programs.
- Through the Appointment, Promotion and Tenure (APT) committee, making recommendations to the President and the Board of Trustees regarding faculty appointments, promotions and tenure status.
About the Provost
Kenneth Veit, DO '76, MBA, reports directly to PCOM President and CEO Jay Feldstein, DO '81, and works with all academic and administrative units to meet the College’s strategic goals.
Dr. Veit joined PCOM in 1980 and has served as Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs since 1992 and as Provost since 2009. Additionally, Dr. Veit served as Dean of Academic Affairs from 1992 to 2022. He also currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer for the Philadelphia Campus osteopathic medical program and is responsible for apprising the President of all pertinent matters related to the program.
