Quang Pham, DO, Otolaryngology resident, co-authored, “Botulinum Toxin Injections Into the Lateral

Rangaiah Shashidharamurthy, PhD, associate professor, pharmaceutical sciences; and Srujana Rayalam, PhD, assistant
professor, pharmaceutical sciences; with Janaiya Samuels, MS/Biomed ’17; and Stephen
Alvarez (PharmD ’19), published “Xanthohumol stimulates the secretion of catecholamines
and induces M2 polarization in raw 264.7 macrophages,” in Endocrine Reviews. Drs. Shashidharamurthy and Rayalam also published “Direct and indirect effects of
guggulsterone on the induction of beiging in mature 3T3-L1 adipocytes,” in that publication,
and Dr. Rayalam and Ms. Samuels published “The anti-obesity effects of xanthohumol
are partly mediated by the adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase signaling
pathway,” in that publication.
Nicole L. Stewart, (PsyD ’18), co-authored “Weight and Eating Concerns in Women's Reproductive Health,” in the journal
“Current Psychiatry Reports.”
Dianzheng Zhang, PhD, co-authored “TGFβ1 promotes gemcitabine resistance through regulating the LncRNA-LET/NF90/miR-145
signaling axis in bladder cancer,” in the journal Theranostics. Dr. Zhang also co-authored Metformin inhibits castration-induced EMT in prostate
cancer by repressing COX2/PGE2/STAT3 axis,” in the journal Cancer Letters.
