Brothers in Medicine

Members of Brothers in Medicine at community outreach eventBrothers in Medicine was founded at PCOM South Georgia to bridge the gap between medical professionals and the Black community.

By raising awareness of social health determinants specific to our local population, a trusting relationship can be built. The student-led organization routinely hosts free health screenings and collaborates with youth groups.

Goals

  • To create a network of African American/Black men in professional school.
  • To facilitate the development of relationships to enhance professional development and community engagement.
  • To foster success in the areas of clinicians, pharmacists, physical therapists, psychologists and scientists.
