M. Joshua Hamilton (DO ’22)
Match Day 2022

March 22, 2022

Students from the class of 2022 are celebrating the next step in their professional journey. Here they share what has inspired them along the way and what advice they would give to new students.

M. Joshua Hamilton (DO ’22)Where did you match?

Tower Health EM - Reading, Pennsylvania

What specialty have you chosen to pursue and why?

Emergency Medicine. I was a U.S. Army flight medic for nine years. EM allows me to spend lots of time with my wife and twin 11 yea- old daughters.

How did you feel when you found out you matched?

Elated, ecstatic, empowered, relieved, vindicated.

What advice would you give to year one medical students just starting their journey?

It gets harder, but then it gets easier. It's worth it. If you're feeling something, someone else has felt that same way too; you're not alone.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

I took an extra year to finish med school.
