University of the Sciences in Philadelphia

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia was founded in 1821 and is an independent institution of higher education with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research and service. Since its founding in 1821, the institution has steadily grown, evolving from the first college of pharmacy in North America to a university that provides undergraduate, professional and graduate education in the health professions and natural sciences. Students without a Bachelor of Science degree can enter USP and complete the pre-professional phase of the PA program in natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Students that plan on advancing from the pre-professional phase into the professional phase of the Physician Assistant program at PCOM must complete progression requirements. More information on USP and the progressive requirements can be found at their web site www.usp.edu.
