Frequently Asked Questions

PCOM orientation programs on both campuses are designed to acclimate new students to the PCOM community. Orientation programs are unique and tailored to each academic program.

New students are required to attend all orientation events.

Orientation program dates will be posted on myPCOM.

MyPCOM is the PCOM intranet site that is accessible by login for students, faculty and staff. MyPCOM offers access to important resources related to academics, financial aid and other student services.

The Office of Financial Aid provides detailed information and resources on types of aid (including student loans, scholarships, work study and more), how to apply and financial literacy.

Yes. All students enrolled at PCOM must be covered by a health insurance plan.

PCOM offers student health insurance through United Healthcare. Every student is required to either enroll in coverage through First Risk Student Insurance or to waive coverage on the same site. Once on the website use the drop down menu to select PCOM's Pennsylvania or Georgia location.

The Medical Health Questionnaire is a health physical form that is required to be completed before classes begin by all students. The Medical Health Questionnaire form can be found on myPCOM on the "Getting Started" page.

If you indicated as part of the application process that you need special accommodations, you will be receiving a copy of the PCOM Guide to Applying for Disability Services.

The coordinator of disability services will work with you to ensure that your documentation is complete, and will guide you through the process of applying for accommodations. If you have questions, feel free to email the coordinator at disabilityservices@pcom.edu.

All PCOM, PCOM Georgia and PCOM South Georgia students receive an email account and access to myPCOM, PCOM's web portal. You will receive your email and myPCOM access information when you receive your New Student Booklet.
