Benefits and Salary

The following is an overview of the benefits and salary provided to our residents and fellows for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Residents, fellows and their families receive Blue Cross and Blue Shield or HMO health insurance—including major medical, prescription and dental health coverage—during the contract year. Additional benefits include:

  • Professional liability and disability insurance.
  • $255 per year book allotment fund.
  • 20 days paid time off.

PCOM does not provide living quarters for residents or fellows.

PGY-1 $62,500
PGY-2 $64,500
PGY-3 $65,500
PGY-4 $66,335
PGY-5 and higher $69,450

The PCOM Library provides access to a wide range of licensed information resources and assists users in acquiring the skills necessary to use these resources effectively.

The Library has invested in powerful discovery tools to facilitate access to digital resource which are accessible 24/7.

The PCOM Digital Library is a robust collection of online databases, mobile apps, e-books, full text journals, catalogs of bio-medical collections and subject guides.

The DigitalCommons@PCOM provides open access to student dissertations and research, faculty scholarship and historical collections
