PCOM Healthcare Centers

PCOM's Healthcare Centers were established to serve the medical needs of our community by providing a variety of quality and easily accessible healthcare services in one convenient location. From our board-certified family physicians to our specialists in gynecology, geriatrics, internal medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine and psychology, we care for your entire family.

Our doctors are osteopathic physicians, who emphasize a holistic, preventive approach to health care. Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) care for the whole person instead of just treating the symptoms. Because our physicians are also teachers, they keep up-to-date with the most current medical information and technology. Our doctors can be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We specialize in family medicine, providing health care for all members of your family, from newborns to older adults. Our doctors emphasize health awareness, education, and prevention of illness and disease. We believe that the physician and patient are partners, working together to optimize your health.

For children, we provide services such as physical examinations, immunizations, and Early Periodic Screening Detection and Treatment (EPSDT). EPSDT includes a complete physical and testing for patients 20 and younger. If you participate in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, we can monitor your child's well-being through preventative health care and recommend appropriate referrals when necessary.

Focusing on Patient-Provider Relationships

The PCOM integrated primary care team defines patient-centered care in the medical home. All of PCOM's family medicine centers are NCQA-recognized Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Homes.

Defining Patient-Centered Care in the Medical Home

The PCOM integrated primary care team talks about unique health education and wellness programs in the family medicine centers. Patients are offered wellness groups focused on diabetes support, nutrition, exercise, managing chronic pain, and stress management.

Offering Expanded Wellness Programs

The PCOM integrated primary care team describes the importance of addressing behavioral health in primary care. Psychologists work alongside physicians and physician assistants to screen for common problems like depression and anxiety, referring patients to on-site brief cognitive-behavior therapy if needed.
