Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the most up to date practice guidelines for Obstetric anesthesia.
  • Describe the complications of arterial cannulation and explain the most recent recommendations for minimizing these complications.
  • Discuss and analyze current techniques and equipment used in a difficult airway case.
  • Explain airway management as well as describe physiologic changes that occur with sleep apnea patients.
  • Identify the perils and pitfalls of a new medication that can alter the use of traditional anesthesia plans.

Continuing Education Credit

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this program for a maximum of five hours of AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity. Parking

On-campus parking is available in our five-level garage which you can enter from either Monument or Stout Road. The parking fee is a tiered rate starting at $6 for up to four hours.
