The safety and well-being of our faculty and staff at each location (PCOM, PCOM Georgia and PCOM South Georgia) is a top priority. Faculty and staff are advised to check your PCOM email account, this page and my.pcom.edu for the most up-to-date information. 

Should employees report to work?

PCOM will return employees to campus in phases over time in a coordinated process to ensure continued safety through appropriate social distancing, availability of personal protective equipment, and completed COVID-19 questionnaires. All employees are expected to comply fully with the policies, protocols and guidelines outlined in the PCOM Guidelines for Health and Safety While on Campus.

Are the PCOM Healthcare Centers open?

The following PCOM Healthcare Centers are now reopened with limited capacity:

  • Family Medicine
  • Cambria
  • Lancaster Avenue
  • Specialty Care
  • PCOM OMM Practice

Telehealth appointments are also available for patients.

What should I do if I recently traveled internationally?

If you participated in certain “higher risk activities” (which include traveling by plane, train, boat or bus), you should take extra precautions to protect others for 14 days after you arrive. These precautions include:

  • Get tested with a viral test three to five days after travel AND stay home and self-quarantine for a full seven days after travel.
    • Even if you test negative, stay home and self-quarantine for the full seven days.
    • If your test is positive, isolate yourself to protect others from getting infected.
  • If you don’t get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel.
  • Avoid being around people who are at increased risk for severe illness for 14 days, whether you get tested or not.

Is PCOM instituting any travel restrictions?

All work-related travel is suspended (students, faculty, and staff), domestically and internationally, until further notice*, unless expressly approved by the Provost or the President. This includes all travel via airplane, train, or other modes of transportation.

*We are monitoring the situation daily, following national and local guidance; furthermore, we urge all students, staff and faculty to abide by all local, state and national public health directives.

What counseling and support options are available to faculty and staff?

Faculty and staff can access the Carebridge Assistance Program.
