Katherine Van Winkle works with medical students pursing their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and health professions students (physical therapists and physicians assistants) as well as graduate students in the biomedical master's program. She teaches human anatomy, histology, embryology and ultrasound in both lecture, lab and small group learning settings. She mentors students from all programs and loves helping students realize their own capabilities. Van Winkle creates educational interactive, illustrative videos to improve student comprehension of difficult topics as her research with students.
Ms. Van Winkle does interactive, illustrative, educational videos of difficult anatomical concepts, to attempt to help students better understand, retain and gain confidence in their knowledge of anatomy.
