Kate Laramie joined the faculty of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies in February of 2016. She has a clinical background in emergency medicine and has spent four years working in both a level I trauma center and a community-based emergency department. She completed a one-year, post-graduate fellowship in emergency and trauma medicine for physician assistants through the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Laramie comes from a diverse background which includes experience working as a Spanish interpreter for an international insurance company prior to her graduate studies. She is a nationally board-certified physician assistant and currently licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she maintains her clinical practice.
