Grace Harrison, MPA received her B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and her master of public administration in healthcare from Pennsylvania State University. From 2009 to the present she has held the position of Principal and served as a teacher and consultant in the Institute for Continuing Education and Research (ICER). For the past five years, she has been the Dean’s Professor, Mayes College of Healthcare Business and Policy at the University of the Sciences. At one point, she was employed as a research psychologist for Dr. Aaron T. Beck.
Harrison has served as a nursing home administrator for several area facilities including
St. Agnes Skilled Care, Presbyterian Center for Continuing Care, Graduate Hospital
Skilled Nursing Facility and several other area hospital-based skilled nursing facilities,
including Bryn Mawr Hospital, Montgomery Hospital, Parkview Hospital, Pennsylvania
Hospital, Delaware Valley Medical Center and Stratford Hospital. She also served as
administrator for a variety of free-standing facilities, including skilled nursing
care, assisted living, and independent living organizations in both Pennsylvania and
New Jersey. Harrison also served as a regional director for Metro Care and later supervised
seven facilities in Pennsylvania.
She has taught courses in Facilities Management and General Administration, Preparation for Survey, Understanding Regulations, Strategic Planning and Public Relations, Ethics, Managing Sub Acute Units, and others. She has also served as a legal consultant around standards of care and administration.
