Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine: Virtual Campus Tour

School of Pharmacy

Responding to the rising need for pharmacists nationally, and particularly in the South, Georgia Campus – PCOM offers a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.

The School boasts state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratory facilities outfitted with technologic advances designed to improve the educational experience for pharmacy students.

Two spacious classrooms, each of which accommodates 160 students, are the centerpieces of the lecture portion of the doctor of pharmacy curriculum. Each classroom is equipped with the latest educational technology, allowing lectures to be displayed on large monitors strategically placed around the room. At the same time, the lectures are digitally recorded for later on-line review.

Lectures are interspersed with small group assignments, allowing the students to hone their problem-solving skills while working as a team. Eighteen new small group study rooms are available for student use.

Three labs, including a pharmaceutics lab, a sterile products lab, and a pharmacy practice lab, supplement classroom instruction and clinical rotation experiences. Labs are equipped with operational hoods and a Pyxis Medstation.

A new Student Services suite provides central access for pharmacy, DO and biomedical sciences students.
