Theses & Dissertations

Access to Theses & Dissertations

PCOM Library users may search the database, Dissertations & Theses (formerly Dissertation Abstracts) through Proquest for access to works created at other academic institutions. There are links to the database from both the Databases and Psychology web pages.

The Library will process interlibrary loan requests for dissertations and theses, however, users are forewarned that many libraries will not lend these materials.

Individual users may purchase PDF documents of these resources directly from Proquest via the Dissertations & Theses database. Users are reminded that 24 pages of every document are available online to assist in selectively identifying works of interest.

PCOM users may search for PCOM dissertations and theses in the Library catalog. The Library will lend these materials.

Thesis & Dissertation Binding & Permissions for Access

The Library has contracted with a professional firm to bind required departmental and library copies. Students may also have personal copies bound at cost.

Students are advised to consult with their advisors and departments for current thesis requirements.

All thesis binding requests must have departmental approval as indicated by the appropriate signature on the Binding Request Form.

Students must submit both the Binding Form and the Permissions Form. The Permissions Form outlines what access users will have to the work.
