A growing need for primary care physicians and other clinicians in the South, generally, and Georgia, specifically, prompted Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, an institution with a 110-year tradition of training osteopathic physicians and other health practitioners, to build a state-of-the-art branch campus in Suwanee in 2005. Today, Georgia Campus – Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine thrives in this beautiful suburban area of Gwinnett County, located just 27 miles north of Atlanta. The 20-acre campus is the only branch of the College and boasts a 150,000-square-foot facility that houses a comprehensive, award-winning library, modern labs and classrooms.
Individuals considering enrollment at GA-PCOM can choose from several academic program offerings including the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, the Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leaderships, or the Doctor of Pharmacy. In addition, Pre-Physician Assistant Studies programs offered through Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia and Thomas University in Thomasville, Georgia are linked to a master's program in Physician Assistant Studies at the main Philadelphia campus.
