Dr. Stacey Cahn joined the clinical psychology faculty of PCOM as a core faculty member in July 2007. Dr. Cahn completed her BA in psychology at University of Michigan and her PhD in clinical psychology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She completed post-doctoral fellowships at Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She is a licensed clinical psychologist in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
Dr. Cahn's area of expertise is broadly cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and clinical health psychology, including eating disorders, obesity, and evidence-based practice. She chairs multiple dissertations in these areas. Dr. Cahn has extensive clinical training experience in the treatment of eating disorders including binge eating disorder and anorexia nervosa throughout the continuum of care.
Dr. Cahn has published numerous articles and chapters and is co-authoring a book (in preparation) on specialty competencies in clinical psychology for Oxford University Press. She is currently a consulting editor for the Journal of Clinical Psychology and has served as an ad-hoc editor for the journal Behavioral Sleep Medicine.
