Information for 2015 Graduates

Commencement Announcements
Announcements can be purchased through the PCOM Print Shop.  Please refer to the Commencement section of Nucleus for more information on ordering and picking up your announcements.

Commencement Tickets
Students will receive 6 Commencement tickets.  Please refer to Nucleus for additional information.

Rehearsal, Class Photograph and Reception
Rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, June 3 at 1pm. It will last approximately 2 hours and will be followed immediately by a reception which will last until about 5pm.

All details of the commencement ceremony will be covered during rehearsal including times, marshalling order, roll call, etc. It is important that all graduates attend.

After rehearsal, the class photograph will be taken in the Donor Garden with your caps and gowns.

Dinner Dance                                                                                                                                  Commencement Dinner Dance will be held the week prior to Commencement at The City Avenue Hilton.

Dress is black tie optional. Cocktails begin at 6:00 PM and dinner begins at 7:00 PM. Seating is by tables of 10. Dinner is followed by a program that includes award presentations and dancing.

A formal invitation for you and a guest will be sent from the Provost in early April. Please be sure to RSVP.

Hooding
In keeping with our tradition, the Dean of the College hoods graduates. As an exception, we extend graduates the privilege of having a close family member (spouse, father, mother, sister, brother) assist in the hooding ceremony.  The family member must be either an osteopathic or allopathic physician to participate.

The Hooding Information Form must be completed if you have a family member who meets the PCOM criteria as stated in the policy. Please refer to the Commencement Hooding Policy.  Both can be found on the Commencement section of Nucleus.  This form must be completed by February 25th.

Commissioning
The formal commissioning of graduates in the military will take place on stage as part of the Commencement ceremony. Please refer to the Commissioning Policy on Nucleus. A separate communication with specific details will be sent by e-mail to each Army, Navy and Air Force graduate.
