Two PCOM School of Pharmacy students recently took part in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Clinical Skills Competition held Dec. 6-10 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Renzo Gonzalez and Miriam Lulusa, both members of the class of 2016, won the ASHP-SSHP (Student Societies of Health-System Pharmacy) local competition for the right to represent PCOM at the national contest, which took place during the ASHP mid-year clinical meeting.

Teams from more than 120 schools of pharmacy participated in the competition—an interactive event designed to provide pharmacy students with the opportunity to enhance their patient care skills through team-based analysis of clinical scenarios.
