Internship Program

The internship program includes patient care responsibility, as well as a strong academic component, in a supervised learning environment. Our affiliated teaching hospital sites further enhance our program by providing interns with the opportunity to be an integral part of a healthcare team and the decision-making process.

Our program is structured to provide maximum exposure to the fields of medicine and surgery as well as training in pediatrics, emergency medicine and OB/GYN. We offer the traditional rotating internship and, for those clear on their career choice, six internship specialty tracks: General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery and Otolaryngology.

When you select PCOM for your rotating internship, you can be sure of receiving a well-rounded educational experience which prepares you to be a successful first-year resident.
