Mrs. Bickett is the liaison to the School of Pharmacy and provides support to faculty and staff by assisting with research activities, offering education on the use of library resources, creating online material to supplement course work, and serving on the School of Pharmacy curriculum committee.

Mrs. Bickett is an active member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Library and Information Science (LIS) Section, the Medical Library Association (MLA) Pharmacy and Drug Information (PDI) Section, the Southern Chapter of MLA (SC/MLA), Georgia Health Sciences Library Association (GHSLA), and the Atlanta Health Science Libraries Consortium (AHSLC). She has served and continues to serve on several committees and in leadership roles. Select involvement includes MLA PDI Section Chair, AACP LIS Chair-Elect/Program Chair, SC/MLA Chapter Council Rep-Alternate, GHSLA Chair-Elect/Program Chair, and AHSLC Web Communications Coordinator.

She has presented papers and posters at meetings for organizations such as AACP, MLA and SCMLA. She serves as the editor for the Alternative and Complementary Therapies column of the Journal of Consumer Health on the Internet, as an Advisory Board Member for the Health Sciences Track of the Library and Information Science Program at Valdosta State University, and as a library selector for several sections of Doody’s Core Titles.
