The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) Board of Directors recently awarded David B. Fuller, DO, FAAO the 2016 Item Writer of the Year, COMLEX-USA Examination, Osteopathic Principles and Practice Award.
The NBOME announcement stated, “Your leadership skills, commitment to hard work and unwavering support of the NBOME mission of protecting the public made you an obvious choice for this highly competitive award.”
Dr. Fuller has been writing items for the national board examinations since 2000 and was a member of item review committees from 2001 to 2015. He still writes items and regularly attends the NBOME Item Review Committee meetings for Osteopathic Principles and Practice at the NBOME headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Fuller’s response to the NBOME announcement was the following, “Thank you for your kind message. I have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, being part of NBOME and have come to greatly respect the wonderful people (doctors and NBOME staff) whom I have had the privilege to get to know at the NBOME OPP Item Review Committee meetings over the years.”
