Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Specialty Care Practice, seeks a full-time certified medical assistant to answer phones, schedule and register patients for appointments, verify insurance, and to process billing and charge entries in a busy office.
Clinical responsibilities include preparing patients for visits with the physician, diagnostic testing, vaccinations, blood drawing and specimen processing.
Will also travel to our other offices on a weekly basis.
Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced ambulatory healthcare setting. CPR certification, completion of an accredited medical assistant program and medical assistant certification is required. Prior experience with electronic medical records is required. Experience with NextGen software is preferred, but will train.
